DP&L is relying on our connections to help you plug in
Dayton Power & Light, West Central Ohio’s electric utility, has partnered with internationally-recognized site selection firm McCallum Sweeney Consulting to offer a rigid site certification program for available industrial development sites in West Central Ohio. Working together, we’ve provided a site certification program that lowers the risk, cost and timeline for industrial development by preparing prime industrial land in West Central Ohio to be ready for development.
Choosing a certified site gives you a leg up on the competition. These hand-picked, available shovel-ready sites are utility ready and primed for industrial development. Certified sites must meet a rigid set of minimum standards of quality to prove they are ready for development.
Among other criteria, certified site requirements include:
- Available developable acreage
- Minimum excess utility capacities
- Accessibility to major highways and interstates
These requirements help identify the industrial property with the most potential for attracting business and driving growth quickly.
After a site is identified, DP&L and McCallum Sweeney Consulting work with local economic development partners and property owners to make the sites even more attractive to business. We put in the extra investment to move the site even further along in the development process so there is less work for you.
For all certified sites, the five key due diligence studies already have been completed and any problems have been mitigated, minimizing the risk, cost and timeline site selectors take on when they choose where to locate.
- Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
- Wetlands Delineation
- Threatened and Endangered Species Report
- Archeological and Historical Investigation
- Geotechnical Assessment
This rigid site certification process takes the legwork and risk out of due diligence and speeds up your timeline, giving you a competitive advantage.
